Where
@A beautiful mountain resort in "Yangshuo" in breath taking Southern China. The wedding will take place in the South, but we understand that many of you would also wish to visit Beijing to climb the Great Wall, wander the Forbidden City and much more! China is HUGE - but don't worry, we will lead the way, all you have to do is enjoy the ride.

Going to China for a wedding (and amazing travels) is not be something that is easy to decide on. We have tried to make the decision easier for you by preparing a schedule with price estimates.

He said Wait.
She said Yes.

Long story short... During the pandemic in 2020, Joyce initially proposed to Jake. Jake responded with "wait wait wait," but agreed to get married. Fast forward to half an hour before the wedding at Pastor Mike's, with Dawn and Larry as witnesses, Jake surprised Joyce with his own proposal. It turns out that he had ordered a ring a while back and had it altered, but Joyce beat him to the proposal. Luckily, the ring arrived the day before the wedding.
Jake and Joyce got married during the pandemic. Now that China has opened up, they are ready to celebrate this milestone in their lives with their loved ones, including Joyce's family in China.
Schedule
April 11 - Friday evening
Vicky & Nicolai will fly to Beijing to hang out with guests who want to explore the city before the wedding. You are welcome to fly with us - or join us later! If you wish to join us to explore the wonders of Beijing, this is the schedule for you.
If you wish to skip Beijing, and rather meet us in Yanghuo for the ceremony, then you can skip to April 16th.
When
Evening flight XX from Copenhagen Airport. Flight takes off at XX:XX (DK time) and lands in Beijing XX:XX (CN time).

April 12 - Saturday
Arrival in Beijing, China!
We will head from the airport directly to the hotel. We may be tired after a long flight, and will thus spend the day relaxing at the hotel.

Prepare yourself for a hybrid Chinese & Western wedding with a lot of surprises, good food, drinks, fun and ...chaos? (Unfortunately, both of us are getting married for the first time so we don't know what to expect exactly 🤫)
We have activities throughout the day for guests to enjoy (more details soon). The main event that you don't want to miss is the dinner reception.
Dress comfortable and retrieve to your room to rest as much as you need! All you need to bring is an open mind and good vibes 😛. There will be cultural differences and shocks and we hope they all lead to great learning and memories on this special day.
